Patty Perry was the only Lady in the Memphis Mafia, and she was Elvis's personal assistant for 18 years.

Marian Cocke was Elvis's nurse for the last 2.5 years of his life.  They were very fond of each other and her nickname for him was "Babe".

Cynthia Pepper appeared in 1964 as Corporal Midge Riley with Elvis Presley in the film

Kissin' Cousins.

Jimmy Velvet was a young recording artist in the 1950’s /1960’s and still performs today with hit songs as

‘We Belong Together’, ‘Teen Angel’,

‘It’s Almost Tomorrow’

and ‘Blue Velvet’,

just to name a few.  His history in the entertainment industry is rather unique and incredible and only a

mere dream for most.  Jimmy was fifteen years old when he first met Elvis Presley. (Elvis was 20) 

Elvis and Jimmy remained life long friends. 

Joe Esposito, was Elvis'

number one aide from

1960 to 1977.

They met in West Germany

while in the army.

Elvis hired Joe as his

road manager after returning

to the United States.

DJ Fontana was Elvis' drummer

for 14 years and played on over

460 RCA cuts with Elvis.

In the Spring of  '69, a call came into the Imperials office from

Col.Tom Parkers office, stating that Elvis would be opening in Las Vegas later that year, and they wanted the Imperials to make themselves available to open there with him... after thinking about it for about

43 seconds, the group shouted a big YES!!

(little did they know at the time, that the Elvis camp had already asked the Jordanaires, and they turned it down, citing that they were too busy doing recording sessions in Nashville to leave for 5 weeks!)

The rest is history really, The Imperials stayed with Elvis until the end of 1971, when they recommended J.D. Sumner, and the Stamps Quartet to take their place...making them the third Gospel group to back Elvis...proving once again, how important Gospel Music was to Elvis, and how much he enjoyed having that 'wall of sound' of male voices behind him!!
